Awwww, the days of the stupid "stress cards", for those who did not know it was the beginning of the downfall of the military service. These little gems were given to the soldiers (I use that term so loosely) trainees at boot camp and any time they felt the DI's (Drill Sergeants or Drill Instructors) they would present this card to them and they would get a very peaceful time out for 10 minutes to gather themselves and rest. The Di's could NOT seek any type of training correction for use of the card. The only reason I found out about this was a new soldier presented me with one when he was having a bad day during unit training at the confidence course and I was administering corrective training to help him get over a obstacle.....he gave me his stress card. I was momentarily paused. Another junior soldier came over and explained the background to the card and what it was used for.

I did my best impression of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket....that was a whole lot of fun. I never ever saw that card again.

Anyway that was what I saw as the downfall of a very important standard. Trainees need to be hardened and tough giving someone a way out, an excuse to not train to standard was a really screwed up idea. It surely led the way to the modern day standard to transgender soldiers who can do a standard duty day because the hormones they are on make them emotionally unstable, physically substandard and unable to perform and then 2 years worth of surgeries that keep them on medical leave recovering. When it is all said and done the taxpayers are out over a quarter of a million dollars in money for their transition, they units manning tables short a soldier who could perform their duties for the 4 years they were there and a substandard protection force because of some assholes woke ideas of feminine guys trying to do a job that requires testosterone driven acuity, muscles driven by generations of male genetics and harden exercise, and the willingness to do what needs to be done including active desire to participate in combat without thinking about the adversaries feelings achieving the objective and protecting your men and country. Oh by the way, I did spend alot of time in the desert and we had Marine female interpreters. That is one branch of the service that DID NOT lower the standard for their female soldiers in combat units...my hat is definitely off to them. tough as nails, fast intelligent and smart.....you could depend on them any time and any where.

Next remove ALL women from combat roles, no matter how tough they are they are taking the place of a MAN who could do a better job, and even if the very best guy COULDN"T beat the best chick, the men on the team will ALWAYS react to the women in jeopardy to the detriment of the unit as a whole. I have seen it countless times with my own eyes.
They belong in the rear with the gear. period.

Next, institute a very strenuous Physical Standards test that must be administered every 6 months for combat deployable units, that not only is an aggregate score of a PT test, but includes shooting scores like a biathlon.
