I got this in my e-mail today.
I have been to this airport many times with my students for XC leg.
Might worth to check out.
Lofty?

It would be nice to show some gyros.
Very nice flight following some nice highway and some beautiful lake scenery.

We need to make an effort next year to show up in large numbers boys and girls.
They had treated us like royalties.

Great food and shitload of flying machines.
Weather was perfect 74* 5 KTS wind.

Fun day; was going to upload video then found I don't have the adaptor to read my micro SD card - have to wait till tomorrow.
Thanks Gabor for riding beefcake shotgun.

Yes. They have parked us right at the announcer.
He was an awesome guy. We did a fly by for them.

OK so here is some video of the flight to Palatka yesterday. The bracket I built to hold the Osmo gimbal camera needs a little refinement to stabilize it further and I think some fine vibration rubberized isolation. But overall pretty happy with the video. Unfortunately the battery died as we were coming in to land so it conked out at the end. You can begin to see the loss of stabilization about a minute before the end.

I thought the camera was fine (until the last bit) but the rest of it was great... easy to watch (except when that ugly bloke came into frame) :eek :laughing

That's prolly what broke the camera? :noidea :rofl :chainsaw :wol2 :Wolvie

This is the message:

Thank you for coming out and displaying your Gyros. People have been asking me a ton of questions all weekend (I was the announcer). I think your machines won the dead grass award for as long as they were there (and maybe tied with the Mohawk and P-51).

Thanks again, and if you are in the Green Cove Springs area on the 2nd Saturday of any month (February 13th is the next one), there is an EAA meeting at Haller Airpark (7FL4, CTAF 122.9) that starts at 10:00.

I am sure that if you were to fly in you would be the talk of the meeting!

Kenny
