. Ann Makosinski is a 15 year old grade 10 student who has invented a Piezoelectric Flashlight which is powered by the heat of her hands ... gives me great hope for our youth ... Nikola Tesla and Marie Curie are her role models .... cool !!!! Her story here. https://www.googlesciencefair.com/en/pr ... A2ZVVBZ3cM

She should call it "Life light" Cause with gloves no workey, but as you get colder towards hypothermia the light will dim and finally extinguish, letting you know its OK to go lay down in the snow and take a nap. But seriously great idea. Hope she goes far with it.

She looks part asian, those asian kids are always smart.
That would be cool to use some of those panels on a radiator to charge a battery, get rid of the alternator....

That is most excellent. My guest she watched Matrix and saw the solution? Attach this to exhaust pipes and things that generate heat already, like air conditioners in the summer and indoor radiators in the winter with a vent to the outside cold and you have way more that energy from the temp differential, wrap a long enough section and you could have some mini-source of power?
Piezoelectric can not generate that much power but a camp fire could light a lantern while camping and maybe power a computer or at least charge your phone.
